According to the lawsuit WMS Solutions violated state and federal employment laws by making employees pay for job-related equipment and training out-of-pocket, as well as failed to pay them for time spent in required training courses.

Plaintiff, Marvin Blandon, said was required to pay for specialty training, equipment and trips to the doctor, all of which are required by WMS to ensure job safety.

According to the lawsuit, WMS deducted $110 from Blandon’s state asbestos license fee. Blandon further claims he has paid $300 for annual asbestos refresher course fees, as well as  $32 for a respirator he was required to wear when performing asbestos abatement work.
